is it trying to tell me I'm ugly - lol!! Seriously though it keeps doing it when I try to use it, its doing my head in now, whats going on, any ideas? anyone else had this problem?

okay it was re-starting whenever I plugged it in, used a different usb port and it works - yippee!!!!! but I have another question now. How do I improve the sound quality on my videos? do I need a better cam?

Have you tried a different USB port?
It could be that your power supply is maxed to the limit and that when you plug anything extra in it causes the computer to restart.
Could also be a driver issue.
Need more details please.. Does it shutdown properly or simply shut-off instantly? Or does it restart....

Need better camera...

I'm thinking there is a driver problem. Check with the cam's website and DL the most current driver. Also, verify that you have the most current video driver for your pc.

reinstall the webcam driver, that will solve it.
your comp should be restarting the moment you plug the webcam?
