Anyone ever have this happen: you see a question from some ultra-conservative (let's just say Nazi, since these people really come closer to this, and I'm not trying to insult conservatives right now), you answer the question and then are blocked? What gives? O, is it kind of like the person who doesn't want to hear any opinions if they're different from his own?
Anyone experience that on here? Do tell.

Oh, a number of people have blocked me from answering their questions, because I point out the flaws in their illogic.

I also get threatening emails from people because they don't like my opinions.

Such is behavior of trolls who have no interest in any opinions that contradict their own.

I've been blocked by 2 people so far, so I just blocked them right back. And OH. they're not neo-cons..One is a libby troll by the name gringo something (changes it to Adolph Bush a lot) and the other is a little bi-sexual feller from Belgium....So, not really a big lost for me!!

Just block em back if they're gonna be that way..

I haven't nor wouldn't block anyone just because I don't like their answer, or because they are too "mean" (lol)

i have been reported for 'abuse' for the most innocent of responses simple because my answer wasn't like...so it happens on both side.

i think that once the abuse report button has been clicked, rather than generate an automated response by yahoo, it should be view by a real person rather than a bot.

if is not abuse, then the person who reported it as such should be blocked and banned from participation. from other posts i have read, many feel the same.

There are a million stories in the naked city...and a lot of them are about people who use the blocking feature as a way to keep from seeing things they disagree with. Yes, it has happened to me, and many others who post here.

Happens all the time. Just remember the three monkeys that have become the mantra for neo-cons...

Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.

I only block folks who either post nothing but hatred(towards either side) or folks who habitually insult and never answer the posted question .

EDIT* - The answerer above me is one of those who insults and almost NEVER answers the posted question . He's not blocked yet , but will be if he continues to ignore the posted question . And I don't care who agrees or disagrees with me . You can disagree and even insult me . . . just as long as you answer the posted question . Those are my standards . Period .

EDIT*** - Argle is right about being blocked for a few days . That was my warning to him . You should know that I did it as a result of an answer from him that indicated he didn't care how many children died . I took that as deplorable and hateful . He might think his answer was kind and generous , but I just don't want to see answers that don't care about the deaths of children and even say it in a terrible uncaring way .

I don't think I've been blocked by anyone from either side of the great divide.

Join the club, those knuckle heads only want to hear their own opinions anyways, that's why they create so many profiles. They actually sign out and come back and answer their own stupid questions with just as much if not more enthusiastic stupidity.

Generally one will block someone who they have determined will do nothing but spew their partisan banter, there-by not contributing to what they are asking.
But don't feel bad, I've been blocked by a few also. Just as we have the freedom of speech, we also have the freedom to ignore what we don't believe.
I know, it can be aggravating

I get blocked quite frequently - usually when I point out a flat out lie. Instead of deleting the question, or a simple retraction they block me. I've come to expect it from the right but in all fairness it's usually the fundie warmonger hate radio types.

*The fundie warmonger below me is a liar. He blocked me and now has taken it off. He still hasn't figured out that he doesn't get to control the answers to his loaded questions which lack links, and are asked in such a way to get the answers he wants. I have tried to teach him how to post links, and pointed out on numerous occasions his questions are loaded - but Earnest will be Earnest.........
