Mosquitoes are more noticeable after rainstorms, especially rain, several days in a row. If you have young children, or are getting red welts on the legs and arms, it is the mosquitoes. Be sure to have no standing puddles, change birdbaths regularly, and change pet water frequently because it doesn't take long for the mosquitoes to breed repeatedly, and your family repeatedly bitten.
Gnats swarm in the air on hot days and seem to find a person wherever they are. Gnats and mosquitoes are both members of the fly (Diptera) family.

Little bugs that fly around are called nats. They drink the water, thats why they come after a rain storm. Or sometimes you can find them on you body when you sweat. EWW
