Jalal-ud-Din of Pakistan was the first bowler to take a hat trick in One Day International Match.

He achieved hat trick against Australia in the first ODI Match of 1982/83season played at Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad, Sind on 20th September, 1982,which was won by Pakistan by 59 runs.

He took the wickets of following batsmen to achieve the hat trick:

1) R.W.Marsh (Bowled)
2) B.Yardley (Caught by Wasim Bari)
3) G.F. Lawson (Bowled)
