How about truck driver and retail clerk, retired for elitism?
If we go to the rest of the family, we have accountant, project manager, senior caseworker, fireman, waitress, boutique owner, small businessman, a pretty eclectic bunch.

Most of my working life spanned from blue collar jobs - into high technology. - LA Oil field roustabout, Mississippi R. Towboat deckhand, ( the old MV/SORA -WX7778( call sign ) , Navy, Deckforce, First Division on a destroyer ( USS AULT DD698) , administrative work at a major universithy, Years as an account manager at Apple Computer, and now a contracts and bids specialist in the printing industry.
I have gone from brawn to brain...I guess.
Still Liberal, after all these years. I have even been published in a maritime history / ship modeling magazine.

My brother has his own successful graphic design business.
One woman I know does several volunteer work. Helping to restore a historic landmark & a "catch & release" sterilization program for alley cats.
I suspect many of the unemployed are liberals, but of the two I know, one stays as far away from politics as he can, & the other is a conservative.

Stupid question. Asking if liberals work is asking if a majority of Americans work. Take a wild guess....YES, WE DO!

Academic jobs- the ones that require no real work and have little in terms of accountability. Most liberals I know dont work much though- lots of rich liberals especially trust funders.
