Get him married under the Hindu Marriage Act according to Hindu ceremonies & rites ,get a certificate of this marriage from the temple or priest, marriage card if available, two photographs of the marriage, with two witnesses best the parents of the couples (in case of Delhi only one witness but it has to be a Gazetted Officer) & with proof of age & place of residence, get this marriage registered under section 8 of the Hindu Marriage Act,1956 with the Marriage Registrar who is usually the Tehsildar of the district where this marriage was performed & either of the parties to marriage lives. This registration is done on the same day the application with all the required papers is filled. This marriage certificate is legal & valid not only in India but any country of the world for immigration purposes etc. As far court marriage under the Special Marriage Act, 1955 is concerned it will take more then one month as the notice period of one month is compulsory & it cannot be overlooked by the Marriage Officer/Registrar appointed under the Special Marriage Act by doing so he can face punishment as provided under the Act itself & no Gazetted officer in India will take such a big risk.

he needs to go in and get a lisence, have him bring his pic. id, and birth certificate, the bride will also need this. and find out what is needed in your state(blood tests may need to be done). after getting the licence just find a Juststice of the peace...there may be business cards for some at the court.

If you are a Hindu, you can have a wedding as per Hindu Rites, and then get it registered, and the registration serves the purpose.
