Could any help me with installing window 98 on my computer?now i'm using window XP.?

I encounter too many problems with window xp so i decide to install window 98 instead.Well, after i installed window 98, there was this colour problem.The colour of my desktop looks just wrong.Thanks...

Open the box and look for a model # on the motherboard. Then go to the manufacturers website and look for Support and Downloads.(drivers) Download,save and then install the latest drivers. After a reboot right click the desktop and select properties. Goto the settings tab and you should be able to fix the color. Save a hard copy of the drivers incase you need to wipeout your machine again..

Set display properties, qualiti, bits. Before that, look does your card is suported by 98 and do you instal drivers. You must do vith destop propertis. If not, graphic card is not suportesd by 98. Look on internet than. You must have in settings 32 bit or 16, depend of screen,

If you want to switch back to Win98, I'd reformat the HDD and install from scratch.

Reformat the disk, install from the original installation disks.

Be aware that Win98 is no longer supported by Microsoft. That means that other software companies no longer support it either. I doubt that the automated updates still work for Win98. If XP isn't working for you, any idea why? Is your PC really old?

switch back to xp.. 98 isn't supported and is full of security holes..

you can switch xp to "windows classic" mode and it will act the same/ feel the same as 98 did before.

as for you graphics, you need to find the win 98 driver for your graphic card.. try

but i'd strongly advise against using 98, i'd put either linux on the pc or xp.. 98 isn't the worst thing ME was worse, but xp is better for security for a start
