If so, please give me all the details (ie: auditioning process, wait time, what time to get there, what to bring, etc) as I will be auditioning at the Wachovia Center in PA this August. Any info would be extremely helpful! Thanks!!

The wait time will last forever. There is different auditioning levels. You have to sing in front of different people before (IF)you actually make it to Randy, Simon, and Paula.

If you watch it on tv, people wait for days to get inside just to audition.

No, but am an AI freak and know a little about the audition process. First you wait in line hours or days and there is a fee to tryout.. Then, you sing for a pre-judge (it will not be Randy, Paula, or Simon yet). The pre-judges job is to send in, stay with me, the BEST of the BEST and the WORST of the WORST. The pre-judges send in who they think are the best singers out there, and also who they think are the worst (this is when they get those number tags). It may sound screwy to you, but they send the worst in for entertainment (They only choose the worst people that actually think they sound good. They send people that mess up on purpose home). Since they're the worst, there is no chance that they will get a gold ticket anyway. The okay-singers were sent home by the pre-judges (they wouldn't have most-likely made it to Hollywood). Next, they seat the very best of the bunch and the very worst down in a lobby. They are called into the room to be judged by "The Judges" (Randy, Paula, Simon). MOST of the "Best" group get a gold ticket to Hollywood. All of the worst group get turned down.

So to summarize. The OKAY-singers were turned down by the pre-judges. The WORST singers were turned down by the real Judges (giving home viewers a laugh). And the BEST singers were sent to Hollywood. This system almost never fails, except once......Sanjaya. P.S. If you come late they may not let you in.
