I don't see why not. If you can't be yourself in any given circumstance, you're in the wrong place, and have to figure out why and how you got there to begin with, and how you can get yourself out of the situation, and move onto something else, which harmonizes with the best that is within you.

Not if you want to win votes or get the best answer on YA! In a democracy, a mask becomes very important and you need to be perceived by the many as looking as much like them as you can. If you stand out as different or dare to be smarter than average you will draw fire. Socrates was put to death because he finally took the mask off at his trial and gave them the finger!

It depends on what yourself is.

If a highly trained astronaut is wanted, it's obviously not 'good enough' to pick you if you're not one.

Or, if 'just yourself' is a person who makes you unhappy and you want to change, that's also not likely to be 'good enough'.

Do others have the right to condemn you or demand changes ~ not unless you being just yourself affects them directl, I think.

Cheers :-)

Sure, who else would you be?

The only thing you ever can be is yourself. Everything else is a thought or feeling of "the Self," created and upheld by the self.

I would think so! Why pretend to be something you are not. If you don't like yourself, for instance, how do you expect anyone else to like you? Be true to yourself.

Feeling inadequate or inferior is easily overcome. We are good enough the way we are. We always have been good enough.

If everyone would just be themselves and stick to it there would be no reason for other people to judge you or to expect you to do something out of the norm.

No, I don't think so. But I do think it is always good enough to strive to be the best you you can be.

Oh, there are people on the spiritual path , just to be able to be themselves, knowing too well that unlimited , boundless & everlasting joy is only being just themselves, consciously, at will, and by choice !
