well most of the time I am saying the word because I am fond of the person. I am giving assurance to the person. In times, I say that to assure myself that I love the person as well, it's like a reminder for myself.

Love is not a word that an truely be described in sentances alone. love is a feeling that overwhelmes you and grants a large amount of affection towards another being. You love someone not for lust but for being able to know that all your wildest dreams of a person has been granted true and they are right there in front of you. Love is a struggle at times unrequitted but still its all the same amount of care and heart you put into letting that person know and letting yourself know how much they mean to you. Things such as a smile that can carve itself in your mind forever, even though it was the simplest gesture..to your it may seem as large as the world itself.

Hmmmm..
Well, there is the ancient 'Agape'...a familial love, the platonic bonding of love for friends and family
Then there is 'Eros'...the overwhelming passionate love of one body for another...
And then, beginning with the romanticism of the middle ages, 'Amor' was born...the idea that two souls speak to each other through the eyes and become one...The 'Trystan and Isolde' kind of love that most closely resembles that which we all long to be swept away by...
So, when I say 'I Love You'..the meaning depends entirely upon the person I am saying it to.
I think the few women who have heard that from me must translate it as meaning 'goodbye', because they generally take their leave not long after having said those three little words to me and heard them in return....Does that help to clarify?? ROTFLMAO

What is not Love? Some people say there is a fine line between love and hate. In reality they are complete opposites.
Love is unconditional. When you give it, you cannot expect anything in return.
Love is accepting. Wanting someone to change is a condition.
Love is freely given. It cannot be forced or taken.

You have something that I admire and want for myself from you. Unfortunately, it does not usually contain a clause that says you are willing to give anything of value in return. Why do you think wedding vows do all that promising to love forever? I think it is because we are very inclined not to love anything forever.

Love is a feeling that can overwhelm you. Either for your mate, friends, or just a random person. A deep feeling or a connection you feel for someone. Personally i have never loved a boy before, but i know that, that's what it is.

There are many meanings to these words depending on who is saying them. When I say them, it means that I care about the person, that I wish them happiness, and that I am commited to helping them in any way that I can.

It is a reaction to the feeling that arises and announces that 'I' may not be completed with out the person who I love. But there is one thing..people feel their ego as 'I'
But mind minus ego is soul. The soul is the only 'I'

Love is the emotional importance and respect you feel for someone in your heart.
When you say someone ''I love you'' in fact you are saying ''You are important and respectable for me with all the good and bad of your nature.''
