Literally? That I love them the best. The sky has a bright, indigo brilliance, the stars are brighter. My thoughts & senses more clear. Silence has greater depth. My goose down pillows are even more comforting; I can add one soft, warm throw over another & even wear socks to bed, (soft, soft socks); the amber lamps in my bedroom have a warmer glow; my cat companion crawls under the covers, (rather than on top), & her contented purr is like a tranquilizer & we share each other's warmth. I associate cold night with Winter, (of course!) wisdom, & clarity. I have learned that my greatest insights are evoked by cold nights. As well as my most profound "sleep" dreams. Clearly, cold suits me.

that the gas company was not just sending out ..idle threats. lol. seriously though during the coldest nights.. i have learned to be grateful.. for what i have..and my loved ones. i can not imagine sleeping under a bridge somewhere..without food..and shelter.. and the support of loved ones. i am truly blessed. and it has nothing to do with a big bank account.. fine clothes..or fancy cars.

Of how important it is to have a loving partner one could snuggle up to in the middle of the night. You reach a point of the embrace where you don't even mind if their toes are cold and touching your leg..
