Yes, but that's our govt.
Always willing to spend billions in foreign aid, rather than dealing with the problems at home.
That's been going on for decades.

The whole Iraq thing, from the invasion based on lies to the 363 TONS of cash sent there and is still unaccounted for bothers me. Far more than the money, the lives lost for Bush and Cheneys misadventure. This war set a new precedent for the USA in invasion of a country that had not harmed or even threatened to harm us. From having a balanced budget and a surplus to now borrowing from the Chinese after gutting the budget to finance this war, the Bush administration have fuzzy at best and corrupt at worst math skills. The much-touted tax cut was financed by borrowing from the Chinese. Eventually the war costs and the tax cuts will have to be paid back to them.
I think of how much good could have been done in the world with this money squandered. The only positive thing I have seen to come from this is that Halliburton has a massive increase in profit. I have heard 800% from their pre-war years.

Yes, it does bother me. I will be long gone before our young people pay for this shameful deed. It also bothers me that the families and loved ones of the over 3700 dead in Iraq will live with that loss all their life. It bothers me that the 150,000 wounded will pay the price for Bush and the Republicans in Congress lack of Judgment and mistakes, not them.

No more than when we "dumped" billions into Japan and Germany after wars there. The more prosperous and free a nation is, the better it will be for the world.

Yeah, while we can spend 110 billion for this year in Iraq, we can't rebuild New Orleans for a few billion. Where are the priorities?
Iraqi's more important than Americans in our government?
