Well, according to the standard English spelling rules, Iraq looks like it should be pronounced "Eye-Rack". However, those Americans with large geographically correct vocabularies know that it is pronounced "Ear-rock". I think we should find a better way to spell it. Same with its neighbor, Iran. It looks like it should be pronounced "Eye-ran" when it should really be pronounced "Ear-on". I believe that all Muslim countries should be left to their own devices. If we want to buy their oil, then sit down and negotiate a price. We don't have to "marry" them and "sleep with them" to buy their oil. All other political and social relationships are treading on dangerous ground.

Are you one of the people that suppose / believe that the English / American pronunciation of the alphabetical letters are the same for all languages? If so, perhaps you should involve your "free time" to studying some foreign language.
Speaking Arabic, Japanese, German, Spanish, or proper English will provide that person with a far greater understanding, knowledge, ability to comprehend, etc. Liberals LOVE to point an accusing finger at some one elses accent or any idea not consistant with their own!!! I am neither democrat, Republican, or middle of the roader, I will listen to all sides and deside for myself, what I feel is best for this country !! I do not give a DAMNED how another person speaks, walks, or anything else which has nothing to do with another persons FREEDOM OF THOUGHT!!!!!!! One more time: FREEDOM OF THOUGHT!!!!!
? Does it really matter??? How does pronunciation of words qualify or disqualify another's EFFORTS, THOUGHTS, KNOWLEDGE?? HHHMMMMM !!??!!

It doesn't matter how you pronounce it, cause after we're done liberating them, they're going to change their name to Bushland, in honor or the worlds greatest president.

Because he is speaking with a Texas accent?
He is only as good as his handlers are.
Yes, it does make him look ignorant in the eyes of others.
