well some theories did turn out right - like the horrux one - n that's what i found unexpected. i mean we all had theories but i thought it really unlikely that they'd turn out right.
i wrote to jkr a couple of months ago too. and she replied (YES SHE DID) "i hope your theories come true, and if they dont, that u wont feel too bad"

i finished readin yesterday itself
i loved the chapter THE PRINCE'S TALE snape's story was touchin
it was sad that lupin,tonks n fred died
snape's n lily's part was totally unexpected
dumbledore's past too was unexpacted
neville was amazing killin nagini was just too awesome n unexpected of him
all in all a gud book

I have even before I got my own copy. I got tempted and downloaded the copy thru bittorrent out of curiousity thinking it wouldn't be the official copy. But when I saw that it was, some bloke captured the whole book page by page, I read it the whole night! So by the 20th, I already finished reading the book. But I still bought my reserved copy. Nothing beats reading from the real book!
The only disappointment I got was when Fred Weasley got killed. For me, it was totally pointless & useless. There were already a lot of deaths and adding Fred only added to the gloom.
I said before that Snape having a thing for Lily was too simplistic. But JKR still managed to amaze me with her awesome delivery. It was really amazing how she was able to encapsulate the previous books into this finale. And I thought I would be left hanging and sad but this was a fitting end to a great story!

I dont know about you but I expected pretty much everything that happened in the book.

I have, and everything was quite as I expected, only I was hoping Dumbledore would be still alive, because I knew he and Snape had an arrangement, so I thought he had not really killed him.

when the sixth came out my cuz finished it at 2:00am when she got it at midnight, so i assume she already finished it. i on the other hand have not gotten it yet. i will in exactly a week though.

so many unexpected thins happened, including snape as a good person (his feeling to lily), fred will die, ron n hermione will marry (ron had feelings to hermione but never expect they will marry), harry n ginny also...
