We live together and he goes to visit father whom I do not like and stay gone without calling for 1 night to 2 weeks.The father lives in the same city as we do.

I would stay the first 2 to 3 months.

I can tell you from experience that if he loved you and wasn't doing something he wasn't suppose to he would be at home at night. As hard as it is to hear you need to move on. It doesn't get better over time. I divorced my husband over things like this and hadn't seen him in 9 years until a couple of months ago. We started seeing each other again and guess what ... didn't take long for him to start disappearing over night again.

Living with someone implies the same rules of conduct as being married. His not calling you for up to 2 weeks sounds fishy to me. I'd tell him the next time he goes to stay with Daddy, make sure to take ALL his belongings and leave his house keys with you, as he won't be coming back.

To me, that would be a red flag to maybe move on. If he had any respect for you he would call and tell you what was going on, or at the very least WHEN or IF he was coming home. There are better men out there that will treat you with the respect you deserve.

i would not date a man seriously who stays gone this long without even a phone call to you, this is inconsiderate and I would not put myself through it.!

I'd tolerate that for about 2 seconds. And after that, he'd be homeless.
