Why do good rappers release all these terrible love and sappy songs (that no one likes) that ruin great albums? as in: Fishscale, Eardrum, Quality, Be, all eyes on me, the master...All of these albums were great except they had a sappy songs that ruined them...Idk, I don't think that anyone likes those songs, so why do they insist on having them?

I'm not saying all love and sappy songs suck, just the most of them (they don't seem very inspired)

I'm a musician, and I understand why they are doing it - to expand their audience. Some songs are unsuitable for FM airplay, and some aren't.

BTW: Aerosmith and Run DMC proved that rock and rap can get along just fine - I've seen some postings on here recently where one guy is insulting another guy because they don't like the other guys taste in music. FYI: Rap IS a form of rock music - it actually is a derivation of the blues, and WHITE "beatniks" from the 50's and 60's were doing it decades ago, except that back then it was called "beat poetry". Listen to Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues" - its actually a very early form of "rap". Music is music - it only depends on what the listener likes that separates the two. An example: Country-rock music. Is it country or is it rock? Its BOTH.

And there is this "thing" in the music business that you might not be aware of - the adage "publish or perish". If you don't put out a variety of material you will disappear from the charts. If the Beatles had stayed with the same style they would not have lasted so long.

I Know What u Mean I Like To use The Documentry For Exaple
the whole album was dope

Westside Story

Dreams

Hate it or love it

Higher

How We Do

Don't Need Ya Love

Church For Thugs

Put You On The Game

Start From Scratch

The Documentary

Runnin'

On this 18-track album, there's only one song I don't feel at all; "Special". Actually, I think the part where Game wants to show the ladies some love ("Special" and "Don't Worry" back-to-back) slows down the album and its concept a bit too much. But aside from that, The Documentary is easily a record you can listen to all the way thorugh, without skipping anything
But other than that it was a good album but fell just a little short of a true classic.

cos sappy tracks sell albums an introduces new audiences (and mayb loses a few) e.g. Nelly ft Tim Mcgraw - Over & Over, it seemd like everyone loved that tune except 4me...Live in the Sky is a gr8 track n the video has Forest Whitaker in it (absolute legend)...xXx

Make money money
Make money money money!!
The problem isn't love songs but the willing of put in their album full selling potential songs, what leads to BAD love songs!!
Fast done, without originality or sincerity, is fatal that tey're suspects!!
On this style they're not natural skilled so the difference between their usual rap and their "seduction operation" is too evident!!
Give it up to Gerard Levert, Ralph strevant, Barry White and all of them who do this as their "kung fu"...

Because they want it to be as commercial as possible, if they cut out most of the bubblegum **** it would be a different situation.
