Politics is still a man's world, women are gaining ground. As of now 17% of Congress consists of women.
Susan B. Anthony was one of the strongest advocates of Women's rights in the mid-19th century, and is a representative figure of this politically oriented types of feminists politics. . IN 1872 she was arrested after casting an 'illegal' vote in the presidential election. She was fined $100 but refused to pay.

American women were pioneers in the women's suffrage cause, advocating women's right to vote from the 1820s onward. Some early victories were won in the territories of Wyoming (1869) and Utah (1870), although Utah women were disenfranchised by the U.S. Congress in 1887. The push to grant Utah women's suffrage was at least partially fueled by outsiders' belief that, given the right to vote, Utah women would dispose of polygamy. It was only after Utah women exercised their suffrage rights in favor of polygamy that the U.S. Congress disenfranchised Utah women.[2] Other territories and states granted women the right to vote in the late 19th and early 20th century, but universal women's suffrage did not come until the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution was ratified in 1920

NO, its not, women are becoming more and more involved every day. Look at how many women are behind the men. Who runs the white house, not the pres. his wife, he just signs the papers she tells him what to do. Look at Hillary, she was more active then Bill and look where she is now, running for pres. herself. Behind every good man there is a better women, if not there would not be any men around. Women start training men right from the start, they are the ones who bare them, raise them and most of the time more involved with them. The men help but have you ever seen a man breastfeeding a baby, no. Not that is impossible, but you would not catch a man with the feeder tube attached to his nipple so he could bond with the baby. But you will catch a women doing it even if it is not her biological child. Women are better risk takers than men too. We take a risk every time we give them a child, the risk that they will run, the risk that we could loose our own lives..... I could go on and on, but the answer will still be no politics is not just a man's world anymore, its also a womens.

I think so, and it will always be so. In the end, it is always the Men who do the heavy-lifting, fight the Wars (the humpin' hard dirty stuff) Watch a simple show like Cops, it is almost always the Man tackling the bad guy and hand-cuffing him, the females are almost always off to the side....being supportive. It is the real Men who are the heads of the family, their household...who also treat their wives with the respect they deserve, but remain the ultimate decision maker. And speaking of family, family is truly the most important part of our Civilization.

There have been many nations with women leading the political arena. To name a few: Chile, Finland, Ireland, Liberia, The Philippines and Switzerland. Women should be given the opportunity to lead, they have just as much if not more input to offer than men.

No. Women make up over 50% of the population and need representation. Women have proven themselves to be good leaders in other parts of the world as well. Margaret Thatcher and Golda Meir come to mind. Women are strong, steadfast, and able to lead as well as any man if they have the right education and background.

i think it was a man's world for a very long time. but now, look. we have a female speaker of the house, and a female presidential candidate that has a real shot at winning the election.
We are definitely on our way to having it be both a man & a womens world split evenly.
