I know it is so. Some families only care for money and for which members are a monetary asset. (Hubby's family, for instance.) I know it is a consideration for some who hesitate to converse with a perfectly normal but not well off person. But all things can be overcome if neither side is throwing something up in the other's face all the time...or rather...FEELING as if that is what is happening.
I have a difficulty catching on to that kind of thing coz I just talk to anyone and forget that it matters. So I get to see shock, pity, etc. when the other party "realizes" i must not have been raised "properly." I've had people tell me to watch out for talking to some of the ones I would in the past, and be puzzled that I was puzzled as to why....
Now I know "why" and still sometimes rebel against conventions. :-) Silly conventions.

Yes. Money always makes personal interactions more complicated. It's more of the personalities involved, whether one is rich and the other poor etc etc or if they are married. If marriage is the case or fiance etc, then there needs to be a balance. If the husband makes 40,000, the wife makes 30,000 and they spend 50,000 a year between them, then there is a balance and money isnt an issue then.

Only if money is an important social aspect for one of the people involved in the conversation.
Most people keep their money matters private, so for those I don't think it would hinder any conversation, whether one person has no money and the other does, as long as they're secure about their money matters.
Very good question.

money can make matters complicated, whatever aspect you look at it, especially when greed enters the picture...
fortunately, my husband and i see to it that money's not an issue, and we don't argue about it [it's not that we have lots of it]..when we're broke, fine! it's not the end of the world; we're young, healthy, capable individuals..when we have more than enough, GRRREAT! - we even share the love =)

It can if you let it. It depends on how much you love money, if it effects things or not. I enjoy more simple things in life that are very inexpensive, so money doesn't create alot of problems for me. I am boderline poverty, but it doesn't matter to me.

Money is not a positive enhancer, it is a negitive enhancer. This means it can be a problem but not a solution
