Well try both. First try a pad, maybe for the first day, then try a light flow tampon the second day.

There's no reason you shouldn't use them if you do it right.

You surely can use a tampon. Use the"slender" for a light flow and change it evry 2-3 hours. Just make sure you are comfortable using it, and relax....loosen up your muscles and dont resist the tampon....it can be a wierd feeling the first time you use it. And it may take a few times to get the hang of it. Dont worry about going through 5 or 6 the first time you put one it.

try the INSTEAD cup when you go to the beach, decreased chances of TSS (toxic shock syndrome) and you can leave them in for 12 hours, instead of only 8.

you can use tampons if you want, just make sure you dont use an absorbency that is too heavy. the reason i recommend the soft cup is because you can even wear it if you are not bleeding (like a "just in case thing") and dont have to worry about TSS like you do with tampons. i use tampons for my first two days that are heavier, but then my flow tapers off and is barely noticeable for the last four days, so i wear the INSTEAD cup cos tampons arent made in a low enough absorbency.

Try them. Your body is physically ready for tampons, the minute you got your period. I'd recommend starting with the slender or teen variety.

Nothing wrong with it, if they're put in correctly. If it's in right, you shouldn't feel it at all after a minute or so. If you feel it, it's either in wrong, or you bought some that were too big. Just keep trying till you get it right, otherwise you'll have to worry about leaks and major discomfort.

if you use a really smal one then it isn't to uncomfortable. i tried to use one my first time it was a little uncomfortable one because i hadn't had sex so i wasn't used to having things up inside of me and two because it was my first time and i was still getting used to all of the cramps and stuff. i think that it yould be better if you just wore a pad for the first couple of times. it's alot easier if you ask me

AHAHAH ! WTF

Okay anyways..
Don't worry it's fine to wear tampons.
Just change them every 2 hours to prevent infection.
