President Bush will veto this if they can blackmail or bribe enough votes to get it passed. These two are Socialists and they will destroy our great country in order to be in control.

the republican "leaders" (are there any?) have been in hiding, since Mr. Bush took the reigns. seems like he's all there is. any mention of a veto? time to get back to the e-mails and phones and do our part as the people should.
as for the numerical illiteracy, conservatives haven't in two terms, done any better. more spending in recent years than ever. bums me out when anyone turns out to be something other than what they stood for during the election cycle.

Perhaps you are unaware that Big Business gets what they refer to as; "subsidies". Subsidies are nothing less than a kind of corporate welfare... Where is the justice in that?
ISn't it about time the American People receive some attention, instead of Iraq and the bullying political agendas? And, your concept of Universal Health Care is obviously only a rant from that which you have read, or heard, from the Right - which doesn't give a hoot about the People of this Country - they care only about the Big Business Buddies of Bush and Co.
Their concept of leadership is what they refer to as: "The Trickle Down Theory," which simplified means, the rich continue to get richer and the poor get whatever is left - usually little to nothing.

It's a matter of priorities.
The Democrats want to spend an extra 12 billion per year on taking care of Americans. The Republicans want to spend an extra 12 billion per month to stay in Iraq.
If we are going to spend the money (and I don't support any govt spending of this kind, but if we are going to spend it) then shouldn't it be spent on Americans rather than given to some other country?

Are you referring to the Children’s Health First Act?
You should provide a link so that the answerer can evaluate what you are referring to. Otherwise you’ll just get a lot of uninformed, ignorant responses from people who oppose Hillary on principle.

The cost of health care is going up with no end in site. Until we do something about it this is going to happen.

Would you like to be the person that picks and chooses which grandma, grandpa or child gets to live or die? All over the almight buck. And those are OUR almight bucks......not iraq's. Keep our tax money in America. We pay it, we should say where to spend it. Taxes are a fact of life, they aren't going away. They should be put better use for the people that pay them.

Thank you for that warning. I will write my own Senators, etc. and suggest that others do also.
This is ridiculous and I doubt that considering our overburdened system and debts, that this would slide through, unnoticed.
Hill and Obama have been very busy with their pandering for votes and making numerous promises. No surprises. :)
