I read the novel, "The Wheels of Fortune" by HG Wells. Unfortunately, I didn't finish the last two chapters and was wondering how it ended. (I had to return the library book) For anybody who has read it, please tell me the ending of the story. Thank you.

I couldn't find The Wheels of Fortune among the books written by H G Wells, but I found The Wheels of Chance by Wells. If this is the book you're looking for, you can read all the chapters 1 to 41 at the attached link.

HG Wells, at least in the two books of his ive read (time machine and War of the Worlds) has a somewhat dry slow-paced styler better suited to oral storytelling than reading in my personal opinion (im sure you've heard about the fiasco when war of the worlds was read on the radio and people though it was real, if you haven't, look it up) so if you find that you are having a difficult time getting through his books, i'd suggest finding and unabridged audiobook version. i read the "illustrated classics" version back in middle school, then i had to read the real one for hs, all i can say is the "illustrated classics" version is Highly abridged and even adds some scenes not in the actual book, so be careful what version you read (make sure not to get an abridged one). he also (at least in those 2 books) never names his main characters. they are always refered to as "the man" or "the time traveller" i think i read somewhere that this is so the reader can imagine the character as whoever they want them to be.
