Actions speak louder than words. Don't contact him again, ever. Just ignore him. If he tries to call, don't answer the phone. If he emails again, delete it. Act as if he doesn't exist anymore.

Congratulations for wising up and moving on.

I suggest you make a print-out of your statement, stick it onto your mirror in the bathroom, or any other mirror you use often.

Make it your morning to evening ritual to recite this to yourself. It should eventually become your internal tape. Then once you can even get yourself to laugh at the fact that its there...or it becomes an unnecessary nuisance, then you know that you are finally over it. Give it a fair amount of time. Let it sink in.

If a person has no bearing on your life, you don't even THINK of sending them a final or any sort of message.

If he were to ever come back, your decision will be so ingrained into your mind that his presence will not even phase you.

What's your point and purpose?

If it's to never speak to him, the best way to get that across is to never speak to him again, starting now. So don't send it.

If you have a history of being a little unclear in your signals with this guy (the second time??) then sending this might send a nice clear message. But when he responds to this, stick to your guns. If this is going to be your last communication with him ever, make it your last communication with him ever.

I personally think you are better off putting your words in to actions - don't bother sending the e-mail, just don't talk to him or be there for him in the future...

If you send the e-mail he is either going to get a good laugh out of you or not care either way... and then you end up looking a little foolish

Be the better person and just let him go, you know that you're better off, no need to remind him of it

Nah, don't send. Just let it go like it never mattered to you. That'll hurt him more. I know you feel like you need to say something, but only do it if he should call on you again. Even then you can treat him like a faded memory.

When he says hey it me, you say Who?
When he gives his name, you say Who, pause, oh yeah-hello.
When he asks how you are doing, say fine, give a few cool details but don't over do it. And don't ask him how he's doing.
When he goes into talking about anything, you cut him off non-chalantly and say well its been nice talking to you but I've gotta run.
Then when you say bye. Say goodbye (name). Say it with conviction...so he knows its final. He'll be like what the hell, did I not ever matter to her?

It's unfortunate you've wasted some time with this guy. Send it and stick to your guns because if he left & came back once, he may think he'll fall back on you again if it don't work with his ex.

He's moved on, and you haven't. That's all I get from this question. You're gonna do whatever it is you think you have to do to move on, but understand this much: there's no point in ever talking to him again (that includes no email, letters, phone calls and text messages).

All your idea tells me is that you haven't moved on.

Nope, your last contact should be your last contact. Besides, it will be so much sweeter if you tell him those exact same words when he is begging for you back.
