Physical activity is the best way for me! Doesn't matter whether it is just exercise or work , it takes my mind off whatever it is that's bugging me & clears the head .

If im in a bad mood its usually for a reason so i try and correct the thing thats making me mad. Sometimes these things cant be fixed or i just dont know why im in a bad mood so i usually just try to stay out of peoples way until i feel happy again. And sometimes if im in a really really bad mood and i cant explain why i just think about how easy my life is compared to millions of other people and i think about how much i love my family and friends and how short life actually is and i suddenly see the lighter side of the situation.

If I'm mad at someone in my family or anyone really at home, I take a shower. It always calms me down and relaxes me. If I don't have time for a shower, I go somewhere alone and do some crunches or leg lifts. This way, I can feel better about my health which makes me happier. Plus, I think there are endorfins released when you exercise which may also contribute to my sudden happiness after I work out (even if it's just a 1-minute ab plank!)

You can do the typical breathing in and out crap...meditating all that (i meditate it really works)
but other people arent into that. I read that breathing in some scents like cinnamon, cherries, vanilla or lemon....stuff like that will make you a little more happy. If its just for a second but try it and you might like it.
If im stressed or feeling depressed i take nice shower and wash my hair. It makes me happy. Or i light my fave scented candles.

P.S dont sit around and mope if you''re in a bad mood that wont make you feel bette.r if you want, scream and jump and hit your pillow - i used to do this after i broke up with my bf and i was sick of feeling crummy about it and believe me it made me feel better - it was kinda like a workout for me.

I go watch the t.v, try as much as i can to forget what happened if a problem or something, by time i forget.

After that Sing and dance, and think about good stuff that happened in my life and at that moment i thank god it's not a very very bad thing had just happened

Oh, okay.. the above are all lies :(. Really when in a bad mood I just go to sleep. I avoid talking to others, but even if I did, they wouldn't notice I'm very pissed. I try not to show it..

I really hate myself when I am in a bad mood....... I play upbeat songs, internet search for some good recipes, cooking can usually help, grab my dog and take him for a walk... if none of these things help, I take my camera and drive to the ocean,,,

listen to music.. "dancing queen" by abba is a good mood pick me upper..
you can also take a bath with some aroma therapy like lavendar. watch some funny movies, or look for jokes on line.

I work, to take my mind off it.
I listen to my music - I have a special "feel good" Cd that I have compiled myself with my favourite songs.
I get online

But, you need to find your "thing". For example I have a friend who cleans the fridge ( Not as in eat, she litterally empties her fridge and cleans it to relax).
