Definitely not.The authorities will have to get in touch with your son and you as well to hear your thoughts. As long as he is on the birth certificate, and doesn't agree with the adoption there is no chance of the court allowing it.He must seek legal advice though.

Not if his name is on the birth certificate. Here is a bit about it.
Does an unmarried father have any rights to stop the adoption of his child ?
Yes, if he has a parental responsibility order or a parental responsibility agreement (see Children section). He can then apply to be joined as a party to the adoption proceedings.
If the father does not have a parental responsibility order or a parental responsibility agreement he still has some rights.
He will be asked for his consent, however, if he cannot be found his consent is not needed. Or if he does not consent the court has the power to override his refusal and still make an adoption order.
Any consent to adoption by a parent, guardian, special guardian, or a previous adoptive parent must be given in writing on a specially prescribed form.

ABSOLUTELY NO WAY
lets say the father was nowhere to be found, had not seen his daughter since the day she was born.
before ANYONE can adopt that little girl, the parent MUST be found. They would try to trace him maybe through tax records.
do not worry, this can not happen without your sons consent.
ps why would the child's mother even contemplate doing this?
what some people stoop to always amazes me.

No, even if he was nowhere around, it is not as simple as "I want to adopt your children", the legalities are enormous, and teh courts require you to go to enormous lengths to get it done.
Don't worry, it can't be done without his consent.

If your Son is a good father, (steady income, not violent, doesn't partake in illegal activities, and is a good provider.) No court in the Country will remove her from his Care.
