Palm reading is more of a past to present idea a persons life lines and what not are developed by the way they live such as you will almost always be able to tell a farmer from a comp. programmer etc. it in my opinion is more of a physical science to read palms and a lot more personalized.
tarot cards are pretty much just the luck of the draw for anyone not psychically connected to the spiritual realms and when someone uses tarot cards you really don't have anyway to tell if they are. (guessing) probably about 1 percent of people who use them actually can if that many.
astrology is so general it isn't funny anyone with a half educated guess could predict something and be at least close.
horoscopes don't know much about but they do always seem to be pretty close for me anyway.
but to answer the specific question there is no psychology really behind palm reading to me its more of a reading of the person or judge of character?

Forgive my skepticism, but if this is really so, you will know that palm reading, tarot, and astrology are all just for fun, they're not real.

i dont really believe in predicting future using palm reading.but i believe you can assess a person's personality traits using lines inthe palm.
i think you being a psycologist should try to see if there are similarities among the lines present in the palms of mentally afflicted patients.. i think there must be .....
but im much intrigued by imprints ,which are basically 5 types , on fingers in both hands...any suggestns....???
i tend to have similar finger imprints in all my 10 fingers ,which as far as i have seen is quite rare. they could give an idea of a persons skills and temper....

I actually think that Palmistry is like a confirmation of Astrology and Numerology I don't see any connection with Tarot

PALM READING OR ANY MANIFESTATION OF MAJ IC IS ALWAYS HELPFUL IF IT DONE FOR NO FEE AND IS ONLY DONE TO IMPROVE THE THOUGHTS OF THE PERSON OR ANIMAL THAT IT IS DONE FOR . very few people are reel palm readers . i have also seen people who read feet but there are only a hand full of people in the whole world who can really predict the truth.now tarat cards are completely false .now astrology is a ancient old way used to predict i have yet to met anybody with that kind of knowledge.but one is very true and listen very close my friend the way it is interpret is very item the way it happens after you here you future be very cearfull to go to a likeable person good luck

Why ask us this question? Your a psychologist with an education and you accept paranormal abilities that have not been proved. Has your research been published and independently tested to confirm your claims? Being a commercial website are you fishing for customers?

there is a book of CEIRO on palm reading. I think it gives great details.
My experience with few of the palm readers on the roadside has been good. they are close to accuracy
