With 1000 words allowed, you didnt get to see the whole picture. I know he was to blame, alot. Beleive me he didnt get off easy, I filed for divorce and gave myself a year to decide my future. We lived as a family also. If I had been married to him for 10 yrs, the answer was easy "BYE"., however 23 yrs is a long time to not work on. And to all my friends that answered with relocating, etc., I RAN her out of state. And believe me, his life was hell. Did I mention I also was arrested for assault, dropped to domestic violence? I let them both know that they werent messing with my childrens lifes anymore, and it will stop. I told him to go to her and he never did. Extra info, huh?

v need courage and reassurance when v go thru rough path in life and that inner strength can b got from prayers, deep true faithful prayers.
dont depend on anyone, discuss the true facts with ur kids, they r teens and they wud understand,
think with open mind all the pros and cons and decide. think all without any bias abt what where when and how of the problem, what was ur part in it, solution amicable to all concerned etc. once u decide, dont change for anyone.

you need to get some counseling and accept what has happened and move on, dont dwell over this. Move on. Also be a better example for your kids you were arrested for assault and you think its allright that it got lowered to Domestic Violence? leave the ex and the mistress alone you are only hurting you and your kids-
