MEAN:- mean is the most common and widely used measure of central tendency...the mean of a statistical data is defined as the quotient of the sum of all the items or entries divided by the total number of items . eg:- 7,6,5,9,8,0,7
mean =7=6+5+9+8+0+7/ 7 =42/7 = 6
MEDIAN :- if the values of x in the raw data are arranged in order of increasing or decreasing magnitude then the middle most value in this arrangement is called the median . thus , for un grouped data the median is computed as follows :
1) the values of the variate are arranged in the order of magnitude
2 ) the middle most value is taken as the median
MODE:- if an observation occur more frequently in the data , or an observation with the highest frequency is called the mode of the data , it is denoted by Z
data having unique mode is called UNIMODAL while the data having two modes is called BI-MODAL
