rain coat, umbrella, not to go near deep waters, drive slowly, wear cotton clothes...........

do not touch any electrical wires fallen .they may be live wires & can give a fatal shock.
avoid walking near the open drainages,& sewage covers,the latter may give away & one can have a free fall.
wear suitable footwear which will not get soaked in the rains.
do not go for a swim , the lightning or thunder can hit water .
don't take shelter under trees if there is a thunderstorm. lightning can strike the trees.
if you are driving a car in flooded area ,remember to switch off the engine till the water level goes down,otherwise water may enter the engine.
if you are inside the stationary vehicle, keep the windows open to allow fresh air, (switching on the a.c. with the closed windows can lead to accumulation of CO or CO2 which is poisonous.)
keep your cell phones,& other essential documents in waterproof covers.
Best thing, stay at home till the rain stops unless it is necessary to go out.

1] Inform your parents or your near ones about where you are going and what route you would be following
2] avoid walking on open grounds as you might be struck by lightening.
3]carry some medications that might be useful to you if u catch cold or have fever.
4] follow only the familiar routes.
5]try to finish your work as quickly as you can and come back to your home on time.

1. Gum boots or rubber shoes if walking around

2.walk slowly and carefully as roads can be slippery

3. Use band aid if the feet get cut due to friction on rubber shoes.

4. If it is really bad rain and can avoid going out - relax at home!!

Wear brightening colours that you could recognise from very far.
please don't take shelter under a tree or anything which is tallest in that area, lightening falls on the tallest, and if you are in a plane, and you are the tallest, don't keep standing.
Keep watch,money and other accesseries inside a waterproof bag.
