I think they can make a run at it this year. Either get rid of Davies, call up a new young catalyst on the mound, or trade for Garland, Contreras, or Arroyo. The offense is clicking, bullpen is a little streaky but good when they need it.1 through 4 pitching spots are solved but the 5 spot is still questionable. I think if they get Arroyo they will solidify that spot. I don't care if they trade Thorman for him. Just not Saltalamacchia, they need a backup for McCann.
No doubt about the managing. Bobby Cox is as good as managers come, Pendleton is the league's best hitting coach, and McDowell is no Mazzone, but no one is. He is good, not great but good. The team chemistry is great. So look for the Braves to be pushing it in October this year.

Probably not in the next 10 years or so. They have good young talent, but they called them all up at one time. Depend on what the next few days hold, they may trade away some of their good talent in exchange for some pieces to make a run at a title, but I just don't see it happening.
