We all know the literal slang meaning it applies, let's look at some the other meanings.
1.To imply incomptence: He/she is a F***-up.
2. For dismay: We are really F***ed now!
3. To dismiss: Why don't you go play hide-go F*** yourself.
4. For inquiry: What the F*** was that?
5. Also, it can almost comprise a sentence:
F*** the F***ing F***ers!
That's about all I can think of and I agree it is not a very nice word to say. It does slip out on occassions.

as a verb- to **ck
as an adjective: **cking awesome
as a noun:**ckhead
as well as the emotional meanings you've stated!
