it's differnet for each person. my breasts get bigger a little and hurt. like if someone presses against them they feel like someone is pressing against a bruise. they feel sore.

also i get thinner right before my period, but bloated the day i get my period -- but my friends have dif. symptoms. it really depends on the person. for everyone it is dif.

For me I gained about 5 lbs before my period (which went away after my period was over), had breast tenderness, irritability, cramping, and later some other issues such as with nauseau which turned out to be caused by something else that went on around the same time.

But it is true that every woman is different and some may lose weight.

I never noticed that my breasts got larger (that didn't come til later when I went on medication to treat some health problems I have), just more tender whenever my period came.

You gain some water weight during the week before your period. Try cutting down on salt if this happens. Your breasts might get tender, not bigger, but just feel like they hurt. The best way to deal with it is a little exercise mid-cycle, like walking for half an hour a day during your cycle. You'll have to experiment around to see when it works for you, but I find that exercising around day ten keeps the symptoms away.

It's unlikely you'll get smaller. Most people will put on a bit of weight during their period but will lose it.

Everyone I know gets bad mood swings before and during and many people do gettin stomach cramps but if these get too bad you can see your doctor who may put you on mefenamic acid (i'm on it - it's a lifesaver!) or the pill.

Back aches, Headaches and aching around the groin and thigh area. Some people will vomit or have diarrhoea for a few days.

Breasts get tender and achey rather than bigger

for me...

Chocolate cravings and serious bitchiness. (really just sensitive. But my bf knows how to push my buttons and it turns that sensitivity to comments into GRRRRR)
You may retain water leading up to your period, and then go back to normal just after (or at least thats how it is for me).

Oh.. and i noticed I have to tweeze my eyebrows more right before my period. I expect thats due to hormones. they tend to grow out of control the most right beforehand. How annoying. >:(

Well for me I get Headaches, stomach pains and cramps, dizzyness, I get crabby and Bitchy, emotional.
Sometimes it's good but sometimes it's bad, I tend to gain 1kg when I have it but that soon goes away after.

I get stupid migraines, that make me so sick I vomit. My boobs get tender, I get moody, and should be on valium the whole time. But, I'm on my migraine med, so wouldn't mix too well.
