I just replaced my fridge with one that doesn't have an automatic ice-maker.My last one had the ice-maker.
That's the only thing that's different in my kitchen.
But now my dishwasher has problems!
It goes throught all of it's cycles just fine but water isn't running into it!!
What did I do and how do I fix this??

*whew*
I knew it was something simple like that!

Thanks to all of you. You're all geniusses.

They DID share the same water line. (my friend had turned it off)
And I DO need to get a plug for it before I turn it back on.

I'd posted this Q in "Maintenance and Repairs" and they just told me to call a plumber.

The DIY crew knows how to save the bucks!! Keep it up folks! :))

Sounds as though the supply leading to the Dishwasher may of shared the same supply as the old Fridge. Should be a tap somewhere, but mind it doesn't leak from the old connection!! Good luck!!

The fridge should have had a water line going to it to supply the ice maker with water.

It may be that your dishwasher shared this supply. If you turned off the valve to this supply when you hooked up your new fridge, you may have forgotten to turn it on.

Be careful, though. If your new fridge doesn't have an ice maker, you may want to make sure that the old supply to the old frige has been capped off before you turn the water on.

Typically, the valve is under the sink.

Hope this helps!!
