Respected Sir,
I am an INDIAN.I am here with
a question.Please send me reply after analysing.As
said by you people earlier, that our universe is
expanding, how can it expand? Let us consider our
earth our earth's weight is constant because every
thing born here is getting ended here itself.nothing
outside from earth is comming in contact with earth to
increase the size of earth. So,the weight of earth is
constant. If it expands with some thing comming from
outer space getting dumped in to earth so it expands
&it gets weightened.but nothing is comming from outer
space to increase the weight of earth. In the same way
if our universe is expanding,it should have place for
it's expansion.if so like that, then there should be
other universe.like our earth being one of the planets
in 10 planets revolving around sun, there should be a
no. of universe existing.but you people are saying
that our universe is going in expanding day to day.how
can this be possible?ok,on the basis of movement of
galaxies you are saying.but in a research you have
concluded that only 5% of our universe is filled other
95%being empty.here in our universe new stars being
born&old being died.everything is happening inside
our universe without any other thing entering our
universe entering from outside.our galaxies are just
moving away i.e.filling the remaining 95%of our
universe. So,if our universe is expanding,it's weight
must get increased. But there's nothing like
that.So,only two may be correct,
1.our universe must never be expanding.
2.like our universe there must be a no. of universes
in this super universe in which our universe&other
universe are small universe.
As the great person Einstien said that"limits of
universe is boundless"means there are bounds but we
can't determine it but it has limits as you said because without knowing limits howcan you people say that itis expanding. Like this way I have many doubts.
Thanking You,
Yours sincerely,
N.KRISHNA PRASAD.

Wow, you have lots of bad assumptions here. The earth is growing in mass daily. The mass of the earth is approximately 6x10^24 kg . It also gains mass each day, as a result of a daily bombardment of thousands of tons of meteorites and meteor dust. This daily influx of extraterrestrial meteorites and dust amounting to ~275-50,000 tons per day (NASA) must increase the total mass of the Earth. Of course comparatively speaking this accretion is tiny on a daily scale in comparison to the total mass of the earth, but on a geological scale the effects can be dramatic.
In terms of universe expansion, you seem to be disounting newtons laws, that objects in motion tend to stay in motion. The universe IS expanding, but at a rate that is slowing over time. Galaxies appear to be expanding from a common point in the center for the most part indicating that if you go back in time far enough, they probaby were accelerated from a common point - the bib bang theory. The expansion seems to be slowing ever so slightly, consistent with the gravitational pulls of all the galaxies to each other, and dark mass that we know is there but cannot see, black holes and the like. If you go forward another trillian years, these forces will ultimately pull all these galaxies back to some common point again, and perhaps start over with another big bang.
The idea that you have to add something to another thing for it to grow, is flawed. The growth here is in Volume, not Mass - there is nothing new being added to the equation, only the wider dispersing of all the things you already had. Think of smoke blown from someones mouth. the wmoke comes out, it expands and disperses wider and wider until the particles become so far apart you can't see them. No more smoke is being added, but the smoke is spreading wider and wider. The smoke from George Washingtons pipe from the 1700s is still here on Earth, recycled counteless time in atomic form. The universe is much the same, expanding and contracting forever with no boundaries, a never ending cycle.

No insult intended, but you are lacking a basic understanding of the laws of physics.
For example.
Blow into a balloon and it expands.
The balloon is full of air molecules.
Now tie the balloon.
No more air or molecules enters the balloon.
Place the balloon into a vacuum chamber.
Create a partial vacuum.
The balloon expands from the pressure inside it.
Now imagine the universe is that balloon expanding in the vast infinite vacuum of space-time. It is expanding and will continue to expand indefinitely.
Others have mentioned the red shift of distant galaxies moving away from us. Light physics has proved that happens and if a galaxy moves toward us, it has a blue spectrum shift, for example the Andromeda galaxy does.
Proof that the universe is expanding is all around us.
Light Spectrum readings is how astronomers can see this.
Take physics classes and it will all become clear to you.

Much of what you have said is missing bits and pieces of information. We don't pretend to know how our Universe is.
An estimate is thrown about that 90% of the make up of our Universe is unknown. This is called Dark Matter.
Also there is postulation that there is another force pushing the Universe outward because now it seems that not only is the Universe expanding but it is expanding at an accelerated pace. So much for The Big Crunch.
There is no end to emptyness - it is neither big nor small.
Boundless means 'without bounds' .

The universe is a finite entity so it must have a maximum and minimum size.
This means that it can expand only so far.
Beyond this limit nothing exists, galaxies have gone out of existence
Anything between the beginning and the end is just a phase in the evolution of the universe, stars, solar systems galaxies and us.
Anything attached to the universe is part of it,anything not attached doesn't exist.

Hello Krishna -
We are reasonably certain that the universe is expanding, because of the Doppler shift that we see in the spectra from distant sources. The Doppler shift is a change in the measured wavelength of a frequency produced by a source that is traveling toward you or away from you. In sound waves, this is perceived as a higher pitch from a vehicle travelling toward you and a lower pitch as it travels away from you. With light, the Doppler shift is seen as a shift in the "red direction" (lower frequency) for a light source traveling away from you and a shift in the "blue direction" (higher frequency) for a source traveling toward you. Therefore, in a given star or galaxy, we may see the characteristic spectrum for hydrogen, but it will be shifted over into the red end of the spectrum if the star or galaxy is moving away or the blue end if it is approaching.
Now, what we really see is that over 90% of the galaxies have clearly identifiable spectra that are shifted toward the red. This means (within reasonable certainty) that they are moving away from us. The farther away the galaxy is, the deeper the red shift, indicating a faster speed of recession. Really distant galaxies have a profound red shift, indicating that they are receding from us at speeds approaching the speed of light. This is true in every direction that we look. Does that mean that we are in the center of the expansion? No - it means we are part of the expansion. Think of living on the surface of a balloon that is covered with dots and is being inflated. If one of the dots represents our galaxy, then all of the other dots are receding from our dot with the more distant ones receding more rapidly.
There are other ways to explain the redshift, but so far this appears to make the most sense. Hope it helps.

Below is the link that will get the basics to you as well as many other links. In the expansion, it can be explained simply as pebbles on a floor. You can spread them out from a central pile farther and farther apart and still have the same amount of pebbles. As for another universe, that is a different thing. Below are links to explore, the second one being video that is very high in quality.

The line spectrum of hydrogen is red-shifted, indicating the universe is expanding...thats one piece of evidence.

The rest of your question is difficult to understand.
Also, you shouldn't give out your personal information publically on the internet.
