Yes you can drink Sprite (at least I did), but just don't overdo it. And make sure to keep your kidneys flushed with plenty of water. Sprite is the only way I made it through my first pregnancy because my "morning sickness" was so bad!

Yes just don't drink to much of it. You can have a can a day i think and it will be fine. People do much worse things to themselves when there pregnant a little soda isn't going to hurt unless ur overweight or diabetic. Try to avoid caffeine drinks though. Just stick to the caffeine free ones =)

Actually, I sprite is caffeine-free, so no known defects come from it. As long as you're getting 64oz (about 4 bottles) of water a day and taking your prenatals, there's no problem with caffeine-free sodas (300mg a day or more of caffeinated types have been linked to poor respiratory development and ADHD...but that's like 3 or more servings of soda).

In moderation I cant see what the problem would be, I have been drinking soft drink a fair bit and there is nothing wrong with baby so far.

Of course - but do try to keep it to a small amount! It won't do any harm, but the aspertamine in it is nasty stuff for you, let alone the baby. Try drinking juices or smoothies - much better for you both.

I drank coke with my first and she's perfectly healthy. I would advise you not to drink diet drinks or diet low calorie foods because of the aspartame in them. which could be harmful for your baby. Remember if something isn't natural, it's like plastic for your body.

try to drik more water than soft drink as it increases your chances of gestetational diabeties having loads of sugar but a little soft drink is ok.
