Terminator 4 news update?

For all those who wonder whats going on:

T4 is on hold. A law suit has been filed over the rights purchase.

Personally i dont care.

It doesnt need Arnold for one thing

if they stick to the storyline put in place in T3, the only charectors that need to be in it are:

John Conner
Kyle Reese
the girl from T3

and a bunch of human Survivors who fight a ton of machines.

Well for one thing, the only cast member to be rumored is Edward Furlong as John Connor.

It is tied up in litigation over distribution rights.

Variety magagzine says..."the holders of the rights to "Terminator 4" have sued MGM, claiming the studio is interfering with their right to negotiate for the distribution of the planned fourth installment of the highly successful series. Halcyon Co. and its principals, Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson, acquired rights in May, including sequel rights to "Terminator 2" and "Terminator 3" and a script by "T3" writers John Brancato and Michael Ferris, with plans to launch a big-budget sequel."

Of course there are two sides to every lawsuit and I won't paste everything from the internet.

They actually do need Arnold though and he couldn't begin filming until he is no longer "the governator". They need John, Kate, Reese and other survivors of the nuclear attack as well.

You can't have Kyle without Arnold's Terminator because Kyle came to 1984 to save Sarah from Arnold's Terminator. Actually you'd need more than one Arnold Terminator because the machines sent back the first one, John sent the one from T2 and Kate sent the one back in T3. Each time he was reprogrammed.
