the main cause of using the bathroom frequently is diabetes, or a bladder infection. But you're right - your bowels might be putting your bladder under a lot of pressure because of the IBS - and forcing it to shrink therefore it can't hold as much urine as it used to, hence you need the bathroom more! Not sure how long this has been the situation for you, but I would say if it's 7 days or more, make an appointment to see your doctor.

Having to go several times after drinking water is normal because the body is trying to clear out the toxins inside. The water helps push the toxins out.

If you are having to go frequently when not drinking a lot of water and having pain as well as burning this could mean a urinary tract infection.

I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor to have them evaluate the situation further to see what they think is going on.

you might have urniary tract infection or over active bladder. both are treatable. it is a very uncomfortable position to be in. take care of it now.
