With my third... I didn't really think I was in labor... I had a sharp back ache and had flu like symptoms. After several hours of this it became too much, I called my doctor to simply ask if it was ok to take pepto bismal for my stomache and he suggested that I come in to be checked out.... I was 5 cm dialated and completely efaced and in active labor... but... I had to have another c-section since I did my other two kids.

I felt so uncomfortable, like I was going to pop! Could not sleep on either side or back, just when I couldn't feel more miserable, that's when I went into labor.
