The longest snake ever recorded was a 11.5 meter green anaconda from South America

If you want the truth , noone knows.
Generally speaking the Reticulated python is considered the longest species and the green anaconda the largest.
I heard once that the longest was an anaconda but if thats true its not average. lol
By largest i mean mass. You are safe to say that the retic is the longest and anaconda largest . Just realize that some anacondas are longer than some retics and vice versa. some retics are heavier than some anacondas. While you may find an anaconda that is actually THE longest snake known to man, the reticulated Python is still the longest species .

Anaconda and python, are the longest variety of snakes known! there may be some rare types of snakes holding the record for longest snake!

anacondas are not the longest... they are the fattest. the longest snakes are reticulated pythons.
