But this is still long ways away from any practical application. Data mining can be much more powerful and sometimes useless. I think IT technology in spying operations impress me more than invisible cloaks.
Like the story I once heard about satellite network automatically picking up terrorists voice in cell phone communication. In the background noise computers recognize voice of known suspect talking in back seat of a car. They locate the phone and relay it to aircraft. And boom. All in matter of minutes. That's some serious stuff.
