You'd need far more than 100 nuclear weapons. With 100 nuclear weapons, you'd make 100 small craters. To totally destroy the moon, you'd need more like several billion nuclear weapons.

You would either need nuclear weapons totaling trillions of tons of power (or more) or need weapons that would be even more powerful than nukes to look at making the moon explode. More than likely a nuke would just hit the rock, make a bubble like scar and throw a few small chunks of boulders into orbit. Plus the man on the moon would get a bad case of acne from 100 nukes. Good ad for Oxy-10 if you ask me.

The craters from much more than your 100 nuclear weapons have already been mentioned. Why don't you compare the total yield from the weapons to the thrust from the solar wind that the moon intercepts every day to get an idea of how truly puny the nukes are.

Not if you detonate them on the surface, the end result would be nothing more than a few trillion tons of lunar rock and dust being blasted out into space and toward Earth (depending on where you detonated the explosives.)
To even attempt to destroy any celestial body (planet, satellite, comet et cetera) you would be wise to put them as far into the crust as you can, so the explosion has enough force to tear the moon apart. At least with that fact, hollywood asteroid-apocalypse movies are right.

Sure, it'll work!
All you need to do is send a rogue team of oil drillers to the moon, each with about a week's worth of astronaut training. Drill about 800 feet in the surface, leave behind one to pull the trigger and voila!

Fraid not pal, all the bombs on earth would hardly affect the orbit of the moon at all.
Wait a few billion years, it's moving away from us by several inches a year.
