These days it seems that beauty is more acceptable and more profitable than intelligence. I've been fairly intelligent my whole life and nobody's lining up with wads of cash in hand for me. I think I'd like to try Over the top handsome and run with the big dogs for a change. If idiots like Paris Hilton can be on top then anyone can. There are more mega rich morons in this world than rich guys who are smart but ugly.
They say ignorance is bliss. If I were just dumb as a post but so fine that people paid me millions of bucks just to look at me. Hell, gimme some of that. I'd be banging the beauty queens of the world and drinking champagne on my yacht.
Thinking I was smart the whole time.
You don't actually think Paris (or any of the others) knows how frigging stupid she is do you? Her biggest talent, upskirt photography.
Hey, at least I'm honest.

That's a really used up question. Obiously smarts, I'm already smart, my beauty, would run out, but my smarts would never let me down up until the last breath.

Smart. Beauty fades with time and what are you left with. No beauty or brains? Besides a true quality of life must include thought and intellect.

Smart. The concept of physical beauty is quite idiotic.

I think I'd rather be smart. In my experience, I've met and gotten to know some of the most beautiful people. After getting to know some of them, their looks seem to fade. Then again, I've known some people who were so intelligent and so unattractive. As time went on, they seemed to be more appealing. I think our spontaneous minds tell us to head straight for the hottest (and most attainable) person in the room. Later on, as we mature, we realize that beauty doesn't rule the world after all.

sounds like most of you who answered are younger.
i'm 59 now and there were alot of years that i was both and it was very frustrating for me...i wanted to be appreciated for my intelligence more than anything by others but found it was very difficult...i was even blonde! lol
when i began to date i was constantly disapointed, it seemed i was actually at a disadvantage cause my dates wanted me to be as they assumed i was...and that wasn't 'smart'...so when they would discover that i was a thinker as well as a looker most were not up for the 'challenge'.
things really didn't change much until i was somewhat older and meeting older people...and began to gravitate to those i had more in common with. i'm much more comfortable now in my older, uglier body, people take me on my merits now, they don't just see me as eye candy like before. i think my life would have been easier, smoother if i had been very average looking, and i often wished i was!
just some food for thought about that subject

Most people would naturally choose to be "smart" because it's a more virtuous trait... it makes you sound less superficial and shows that you understand deeper beauty.
But if you're "beautiful," that implies that you are not "smart" so that suggests ignorance... but we also know that ignorance is bliss, so really, by choosing "smart", you're choosing misery.
Take beauty. One less thing to worry about.

This is a good one. Smart would help with school and such but beauty would bring down the house. I can't choose. They are both too tempting.
