I copied all kinds of mame roms onto a cd and want to copy them from the cd's onto my new computer. They are in zip archives? so i opened a archive in winace, then extracted those files into a folder on my desktop. It showes in that folder several roms. When i click the rom it says to select from a list of my programs to run it?
how do you run these games? is there some kind of file for an emulator or something i should be looking for? please help

If your roms are MAME roms you need the MAME emulator. You download and install MAME then place the roms in the roms folder in the emulators directory. ROMS ARE ZIPPED FILES AND TO REMAIN ZIPPED! DO NOT UNZIP ROMS KEP THEM ZIPPED!! PLACE ZIPPED ROMS IN THE ROMS FOLDER!!!

You can download a torrent which has a lot of roms.
