No there is no difference in looks other than wheels. However there are four separate chasis for the 3 series. The e90 is the sedan, e91 is the wagon, e92 is the coupe, and e93 is the coupe convertible.

If you have the money you MUST buy the 335i. It is unbelievable and fun to drive. It's as fast as the e46 M3 and faster than most cars out on the road.

The looks are virtually the same. 335i has a dual exhaust. Make sure you buy the sport package. It comes with bigger wheels and your car will look much better. The standard wheels make the car look like its riding on skates. Also, sparkling metallic graphite is the best exterior color (and most popular).

3 series are all the same, built all on the same platform, the only difference would be the body type, sedan, coupe, convertiable, & wagon. other than that they are the same. A same series 4 door sedan is a 4 door sedan.
