Being right or left eyed dominant is the normal way of seeing an object. It is not a problem and in fact if you were a target shooter and shot right handed it would be desirable to be right eyed dominant as the dominant eye is the alligning eye for putting something where you want it to go. E.G. If looking down a shotgun barrel shooting right handed, you can shoot with both eyes open and yet the right eye will automatically allign the bead to the target. If you were left eyed dominant and shooting right handed, the left eye would pick up the front bead and think the barrel was alligned but in fact it would not, causing the shot to be way off mark. Just draw some lines with an immaginary shotgun with a straight barrel and front bead. Then put two dots, repressenting your two eyes at the rear of the gun or barrel with the dot repressenting the right eye directly behing the straight barrel and front sight and the left eye to the left of the right eye as is representative of your eyes. Now put a dot or target straight out and in line with the barrel. Draw a line from the left eye through the front bead of the shotgun barrel and extend that line as far as you like. You will see that it never will come into contact with the target. Now do that with the right eye, and if you're target dot was in line with the barrel as instructed, you will see that the geometry makes it impossible for that line not to cross the target. It's good to have a dominant eye, someone or something has to be in control, right.

Your eyes work together, but, like your hands, one is usually a little stronger and responds first. Mostly you don't even have to think about it. I can think of two reasons you might. If you're an archer, your dominant eye, not your dominant hand, determines which hand holds the bow and which hand draws back the string to release the arrow: you draw the arrow with the hand that matches your dominant eye because it gives you an aiming advantage. And if you're a beginning violinist, a right-eyed player has an easier time seeing how the bow is drawn across the strings; a left-eyed player sometimes needs a readjusted, center-mounted chinrest to line up eye and bridge and bow properly.
But if both your eyes have good vision, you have nothing to worry about.

About 85% of the population is right eye dominant.. It's completely normal. So is left eye dominant. It is sort of like being right or left handed. There's a simple test for it where you hold out your index finger and close each eye and see when your finger seems to move. Try it
