I'd say the only thing possible is a) to die for something that you must protect because what you are protecting is more significant to the well-being of the world than you are and b) dying by trying to save someone's life is a possibility because there is growing evidence we have an 'altruism' gene which compels us to risk our life to save others (think of the responders at 9/11). And I say this despite the theories of people like Richard Dawkins "The Selfish Gene" who believes the opposite. In my opinion such 'evolutionary biologists' are a bunch of morons who don't know what life is like in the real world. But that's another story.

Someone in your family is worth dying for. Your kids or wife/husband. Dying for your country is also worth dying for.

Who wants to die? Please. Military, would be the only ones, I could think of ,who would say, their country. Im not in the military. Im just an average human, who doesn't want to die. I know, it will happen, someday. My hopes? When I die, I have made an impact, in someones life.
