The human brain is a fascinating tool, but I think you will not receive many answers to this question simply because no many people seem to understand it, i certainly don't but i will still attempt to answer....I think the human brain is somewhat like a computers CPU, it always has to be processing something....this would explain why when you are thinking of one idea a completely of-topic idea will pop in to your thoughts....
I really don't know, perhaps if you re-post this question in the psychology area you will receive more answers....Good Luck

WITH all the others, not 'into'. We are incapable of chronicling all thought into one moment; there is no reason to do that. If we could 'flow'' all thoughts 'into' all the others, there would be no more than one thought in our head and what of the new thoughts? I would need to reproduce each new thought a million times for every other thought. There would no questioning self thought or the one thought would be a question, and we have more than one question. Thought self is not the only self thought.
