However, in recent seasons, a typical major league game, completed in nine (or 8 1/2) innings, tends to take around 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours.
Postseason games take longer because Fox crams in so many more commercials.

depending on what level you're watching.
Major leagues would probably average about 3+ hours.
High School games are only 7 innings though, so they average anywhere from 2+ hours...not including those backbreaking, freakishly long, high-scoring games. . .
It really just depends on how much offense there is in the game...and how evenly matched the teams are
