Absolutely not! Whoever put that in your head has some serious issues. You can explain it because a) maybe god doesn't exist or b) god doesn't hate them
regardless, it shouldn't matter because people should not be judged by their beliefs in the ideal society. You can be loving without God, trust me! But maybe God is for you. either way. it's your choice

No, not at all. Whilst it is admirable that people have some form of religious beliefs and that they will ascend to heaven/better afterlife or whatever they desire, it is not the be all and end all of being a good person.
I have friends who are self confessed athiests and have better morals than some so called Christians. I have a neighbour who plays in a death metal band, is an imposing physical figure due to his height, yet would never hurt, cheat, lie or steal from another person. Yet due to his love of a certain genre of music, so called Christians believe he will go to hell. Note, they would never take the time to talk to him and assess his character. Doing so may put them closer to the devil.
"Judge ye not, less ye be judged "
My friend and his band are lucky to have two bob to rub together. Yet, if they are playing music, have a beer in their hand, have friends around and nobody is getting hurt, they are happy. In the meantime, fundamentalist Christian organisations such as Hillsong church, use religion as a method of profit.
I know who I'd rather associate with.

I don't think it is a requirement.
Let me preface this by saying I believe in God.I don't believe any of us can be certain about the character or qualities of God.
I believe life created the universe, matter can't create life.
If life could evolve from inert matter, all life and everything about life would be the result of some chemical reactions and therefore no action could be considered to be more important or valuable than any other.
That we CAN be "good" without faith in a god just proves we were created (by whatever means) with standards and values that had to come from SOME source and that Source is GOOD.

No. Some of the greatest minds did not believe in God. Mark Twain for example. But to enter the Kingdom of heaven yes you have to believe that there is such a thing.

You do not have to believe in God to do good things. You do need to believe in God to have salvation. It is not by our acts that we have salvation. Jesus has already paid the price for us. All you have to do is accept his free gift. Trust me, I'm as skeptical as they come, but I tell you this today. God's word ain't no hustle. God is very real.
Again, you don't need to believe to do good. There are plenty believers who do bad things and are capable of hate as well. That is the human condition. But trust me, at the end of it all, you don't want to be caught out there not accepting Christ. Learn of his teachings, and you will learn what is truly GOOD. God Bless you.
