Well let me help you out here now from what i have heard from people (other gamers) is that the nyko intercoolers are not any good because they void your warranty somehow now ive heard that the new pelican coolers that have came out are alot better at longterm performance then nyko but what i do is i found a open space put my 360 there and bought a regular table fan and placed it about a foot from the console so then it blows the hot air out from behind the console and it has been keeping it a little bit more cooler after i experienced my first console failure i had to send it in and wait about a month for repairs... believe me i learned my lesson i am now considering buying the new pelican intercooler but as of yet idk my friends kept their 360's alive since release but i really suggest that you go to your local gamestore and ask if they have any products they reccomend or any tips for a longlasting 360

i hope this helps

This can be a frustrating thing. All the reviews I have read on cooling devices say that they have actually helped in the process of frying the xbox 360. I have had my nonventilated xbox 360 for a year and a half. It is on a shelf in a well ventilated area. I have a a ton of space around it so there is no build up of warm air. Maybe I am just lucky or maybe proper ventilation is the key. You could alway just aim a fan at it if you don't have a lot of space around it. That would probably have a similar effect.

With all the overheating problems that X Box 360 units have been reported, I strongly recommend buying a external cooling device that attaches to the X Box. Microsoft has extended the warranty for all X Box 360 for 3 years if anything happens to your unit internally.
