i don't understand that at all. I mean if you ask a question here you must want the best answer or a few to think about, it needs to be public so it get's the most views and hopefully the answer that you are looking for. I didn't even know you could make them private. And hey, if they are private, doesn't that mean you get no answers, as no one sees it??? I'm so confused, it's just weird!!

maybe to stop people from looking
and cheating if a particular question
or answer requires a bit of inside info
ie:i answered a question yesterday
it was asking how old do you think the person is
above you in the submitted answers line
well i clicked on the above avatar and found right away
that the person was 14y.o so i cheated and put 14
the only thing is,when i submitted it,i had moved down the line about 4 spaces and the person above me was totally different

Totally outing myself here...but mine is private because of a stalking/troll/psychopath/FREAK that wouldn't leave me alone, no matter what else I did. I blocked them, ignored them, gave up a level five account and they still wouldn't leave me alone!
I'm not/wasn't scared of them....I just hated that feeling that they were like watching me and could read what I was saying.........a completely grossed out feeling.......YUCK!

trolls. There are some real haters out there that report everything you do for no reason. Haven't you seen all the people who got their accounts deleted?
Just look at some of the stupid crap on here tonight, that should be proof enough.

Might be they have some secretive things done to the questions and answers or might be they are trying this section that how does it works, I also thought of doing so once.

It isn't scared, it is the desire for privacy from certain people. It is because there are some people who have serious issues and are not very nice. I think it is a good thing.

They feel it's like going on top of the center square statue with a mega phone and yelling it to everyone, who also don't know them, and yet for some reason they get embarresed by it..small chance someone they know will see it...in both.

If you have ever been cloned you wouldn't be asking! They see what you have answered or asked and then go their and post garbage and hate under your name and avatar so people think it is you. SUCKS BAD!
